Fenland Adventure - Shacklewell Hollow
Fenland Adventure is a family-owned business based in Cambridgeshire, dedicated to providing affordable outdoor learning experiences for young people. We serve the surrounding counties and are passionate about creating opportunities for young people to grow and develop through adventure-based activities.
Fenland Adventure offers a range of land-based activities specifically chosen to challenge guests and to provide a fun learning experience. Each activity session has a detailed risk assessment and operational procedure, which are reviewed annually by a suitably qualified person. Our instructors are trained and assessed to deliver each session, and the equipment they use is maintained to the highest standard.
Our residential experiences are held at Shacklewell Hollow,
situated east of Empingham, Rutland. The site is easily accessible from the

Arrival. Team Building. 3D Jacobs Ladder. Orienteering. Scavenger Hunt and Camp fire.
Day 2
Archery. Climbing. Target Shooting. Chariots. Capture the Flag. Water Slide.
Day 3
Bushcraft. Crate Stacking.Departure.
Shacklewell Hollow is an 'off-grid', self-contained cabin with a sleeping capacity of 33. The cabin has five 6-bedded bunk rooms and two single rooms for group leaders. There is a kitchen, mess hall and toilet/shower facilities. Guests will need to bring a sleeping bag, and pillows and fitted sheets are provided. If you don't have a sleeping bag, you are more than welcome to bring a quilt or blanket.
Larger groups can be accommodated with the use of our 5m bell tents, pitched directly opposite the cabin. Please enquire for more information for groups over 34+ students.
All residential visits are fully catered, this includes breakfast, lunch and dinner. We can cater for all dietary requirements and detailed menus will be provided.
Hot and cold drinks are available throughout the day, with hot chocolate provided in the evenings.
