Proud to set our safety standards at the highest level

We are proud to set our safety standards at the highest level and we never compromise. All of our centres are regularly assessed by qualified external auditors, as well as our own internal Technical Advisors, ensuring we are always working to the highest safety standards. The vast majority of Local Authorities have already pre-approved our trips because of our standards and accreditations.

As a member of the School Travel Forum, Acorn Travel Group Ltd. ensures that all of the suppliers it uses, including centres, transport providers, and visits, as well as our internal processes, are assessed along their specific guidelines.

Acorn has consistently been at the forefront of driving up safety awareness and standards in the school and group travel industry. We are dedicated to promoting 'best practice' and safety in school travel. We adhere to a rigorous Code of Practice and Safety Management Standards that are externally verified each year by leading Health and Safety Consultants. All our procedures are in line with the DoE ‘Health and Safety on Educational Visits’ and our Health and Safety policy covers all aspects of safety on your trip. Our Safety Management System has been developed, following Health & Safety Executive guidelines.

Acorn Travel Group Ltd. is also a member of ABTA and holds an ATOL from the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), demonstrating our strength and stability, and this guarantees our customers’ financial security. We follow ABTA’s Code of Conduct to provide a high standard of service to you. For more information about this and the benefits of ABTA’s Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) go to www.abta.com

Travel Insurance

At Acorn Adventure, we prioritize both safety and enjoyment when you book a tour with us. Therefore, it is essential that you secure adequate and valid specialist school group travel insurance for the entire duration of your trip.

For holidays within Europe, it is recommended that you obtain a European Health Insurance Card for each member of your party. You can obtain an EHIC online at www.ehic.org.uk, by calling 0845 605 0707 or from your local Post Office. Should medical attention be needed whilst within the European Community, an EHIC can save both time and money.

Our parent company, Acorn Travel Group Ltd., has decided to partner with Howden Insurance, to create a bespoke group travel insurance policy that covers a variety of unforeseen risks. Please request more information from your travel agent.
