Call of the Wild’s newly available bunkhouse is situated on a farm within the National Park. This stunning location overlooking the Swansea Valley is the ideal setting for a rural residential. Situated a mile from the nearest village, with a gated access, you will have sole use of the bunkhouse facilities. There is 24 hour on-site Call of the Wild presence. Set within 70 acres of wonderful countryside including native ancient woodland, streams and springs, it provides a safe environment.
The Farm is close to all the activity venues. You can also walk to many directly from the Farm. Rest assured, although there are sheep in the enclosed surrounding fields, there is no major machinery on site. This is a safe and secure setting.
Maes-y-fron has two dormitories, one with 16 beds and the other with 20. There are also 3 staff bedrooms. These are at first floor level. The kitchen, dining room, communal area and shower block are on the ground floor. There is also a games area.
Tents - when needed are pitched on the lawn directly in front of the farmhouse, so can use all the internal facilities. Sleeping mats are supplied for the pupils and teachers get a tent each with a camp bed/mattress on request or a standard sleeping mat otherwise.
Alternative local accommodation is available upon request.
During your stay, you’ll receive three tasty meals a
day, giving you plenty of energy for the activities. The onsite catering team
can cater for allergies and special dietary requirements.
