Bude Adventure
Embark on the ultimate beach water sports adventure in Cornwall!
Master the art of surfing, stand-up paddleboarding (SUP), and coasteering. Set up camp in a private tented village adjacent to the sandy shores of Widemouth Bay in the charming town of Bude, Cornwall. With its breathtaking coastline and tranquil waterways, it's the perfect backdrop for water sports. The adventure's pinnacle is learning to surf under the guidance of Freeway Surf Academy's expert team.
Widemouth Bay, renowned as one of Cornwall's top surfing spots, offers gentler waves than other local beaches, making it an ideal learning environment, especially for school groups. Additionally, seize the opportunity to navigate Bude's historic waterways on a SUP. The oversized paddleboard provides a stable base, perfect for novices. This magnificent setting offers an unparalleled introduction to beach water sports, led by passionate, skilled, and qualified instructors.
Widemouth Bay sits 2.5 miles to the south of Bude town. The large bay is made up of two main beaches both with their own carpark, cafe and toilet facilities. Black Rock Beach sits at the south end of Widemouth Bay and Trelawny Beach to the North. The name Trelawny has all but faded away and Trelawny Beach is now more commonly referred to as Widemouth Beach. Both beaches can be accessed by one another across the sand unless there is a spring high tide where the beaches are cut off from one another.
